How TVA is Leveraging Advanced Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Business Intelligence Software to Create a “Google” to “Amazon” Environment for Inventory

July 10, 2020
12:00PM – 1:00PM
Location: Virtual
Cost: Free

TVA is leveraging advanced analytics products to close the gap between the current $700M+ of inventory and the work management and operational performance of electricity generation assets. A highlight of this process is a new search tool called “MICA” that produces “Google” level search results. These solutions, while originating in inventory, will save TVA millions of dollars. The Beta version of MICA has already saved TVA $4.5M. It will also increase the efficiency of work management by making it very simple to find inventory and to complete work orders in minutes instead of hours. Moreover, these tools are making data “accessible” to employees who do not traditionally work in Maximo, TVA’s Enterprise Asset Management solution.
Session attendees will learn ways to apply modern technologies to traditional processes to transform work and asset performance.
