During January’s Supply Chan Lunch and Learn, David Porter, Regional Sales Manager at GPA, will discuss GPA’s recent record breaking year and how Savannah continues to be the fastest growing port in the U.S. Porter will also highlight the Appalachian Regional Port and how the development has increased opportunities for Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama.

David Porter has been with the Georgia Ports Authority for 17 years. David’s experience within the Port Industry began in Vessel Operations. From there he has experienced multiple positions with the Port’s Operations Department including Crane, Container and Intermodal Operations. In 2014 he transitioned from Port Operations into the Trade Development Department within the Georgia Ports Authority. In this role David covers territories in the U.S. Southeast and Pacific Northwest. It is his responsibility to convert Cargo Owners using other ports to utilize the Port of Savannah and drive industry into the U.S. Southeast.David works with the local and State of Georgia transportation industries as a member of the National Propeller Club and Savannah Traffic Club.David is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he studied Business Administration with an emphasis on Logistics in Intermodal Transportation.
