Komatsu’s Chattanooga Manufacturing Operation (CMO) is an integrated manufacturing facility specializing in the production of hydraulic excavators and articulated dump trucks through a highly technical manufacturing process. The tour highlights advanced robotic welding systems that deliver precision and consistency in structural fabrication, alongside large machining operations where critical components are cut, milled, and finished to exact tolerances. Visitors will also see the plant’s two Main Assembly Lines, where complex systems are integrated into fully operational machines. Every stage of production reflects Komatsu’s commitment to safety, quality, and reliability, showcasing how cutting-edge technology and skilled craftsmanship combine to build equipment that sets the standard for performance worldwide.
