Site Visit at Opella’s Distribution Center + Roundtable on Sustainability

This event will take place at Opella’s 816,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Lookout Valley—a multiuse facility that supports local production sites, distributes products across North America, and handles packaging for many of Opella’s tablet products. The center also serves as the hub for the company’s network-wide recycling initiatives.

Formerly known as Chattem and Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, Opella has deep roots in Chattanooga’s manufacturing history and continues to make an impact as the maker of trusted brands like Allegra, Icy Hot, Aspercreme, and Dulcolax. The company is also a certified B Corporation, with goals to reduce Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions by 65% (from 2019 levels) and to achieve 100% renewable electricity by the end of 2025. This commitment is driven by Opella’s Sustainable Care Pledge (SCP) and its impact on both business operations and environmental responsibility.

Following the tour, attendees are invited to stay for a roundtable discussion focused on sustainability in manufacturing.
